Arden Cone was born and raised in S.C. and has an MFA in painting from B.U. She has written for Burnaway and the Brooklyn Rail. She is also a professional horse trainer.

Tyler Emerson who co-owned the Emerson-Dorsch gallery in Miami. The gallery closed after 34 years. She and her husband have recently started the Emerson-Dorsch Artist Residency (EDAR) in Madison County.
